Glenn Goldberg Mars Hill (3) Lithograph
This lithograph is a limited edition, hand-printed stone lithograph produced in close collaboration with Glenn Goldberg and published by Obee Editions in partnership with the Emerson Dorsch Artist Residency in Mars Hill, North Carolina. This print is part of a series of 3 lithographs.
Created during Goldberg’s residency at Emerson Dorsch, the edition reflects a period of quiet focus and spacious reflection. Living in isolation on a hilltop surrounded by shifting weather, creaking trees, and daily visits with three goats, Goldberg sought to create works that feel low in volume — gentle, welcoming, and restorative. The resulting prints offer a pause within a crowded world: suspended figures inhabit airy, open space, their soft color and visible hand lending a sense of calm and balance.
Printed traditionally from stone in Obee’s old-school studio, the edition preserves the physical touch of the artist and the collaborative nature of the process. Like much of Goldberg’s broader practice, the work embodies curiosity, restraint, and a focused sense of presence.
