Suite of 12 Monoprints by Mark E. Flowers
The series was developed during a residency at Obee Editions in Black Mountain, North Carolina, in close collaboration with artist Mark E. Flowers and master printer Perry Obee. Working across monotype, chine-collé, transfer, and assemblage processes, Flowers developed a series of twelve unique monoprints, each combining a distinct range of layered techniques, materials, and marks.
Flowers describes his approach as “visual jazz,” an improvisational interplay between objective and non-objective imagery. Though each work is unique, the twelve prints share a cohesive visual language that allows them to function individually or as a unified installation.
The series is well suited to contemporary hospitality and commercial environments, including boutique hotels, corporate collections, and other spaces where original artwork can create a strong, cohesive presence.
